Every time you open VS Code after the monthly update, you are greeted with aĀ Release Notes tab where you can see all the changes that came with that update.
But what if you no longer want to see the Release Notes?
That’s fine. You can disable them.
Let’s find out how.
The obvious way is to untick theĀ Show release notes after an update option that can be found in the Release Notes tab.
Another way is to open theĀ Settings (CTRL
+ ,
) and search for “show release notes” and uncheck theĀ Update: Show Release Notes checkbox.
Now I want to point out a 3rd way in case you cannot get into your Settings and you no longer have theĀ Release Notes tab open.
You can re-open the Release Notes tab by going toĀ Help > Release Notes.
Now you can tick theĀ Show release notes after an update box to disable it.
