Every time you open VS Code after the monthly update, you are greeted with a Release Notes tab where you can see all the changes that came with that update.
But what if you no longer want to see the Release Notes?
That’s fine. You can disable them.
Let’s find out how.
The obvious way is to untick the Show release notes after an update option that can be found in the Release Notes tab.
Another way is to open the Settings (CTRL + ,) and search for “show release notes” and uncheck the Update: Show Release Notes checkbox.
Now I want to point out a 3rd way in case you cannot get into your Settings and you no longer have the Release Notes tab open.
You can re-open the Release Notes tab by going to Help > Release Notes.
Now you can tick the Show release notes after an update box to disable it.
